This Privacy Policy explains how Derustify ("we", "our", or "the App") handles your data.

Summary We believe your photos belong to you. We do not collect, store, share, or transmit any of your personal data.

1. NO DATA COLLECTION

The App operates entirely offline on your device.

We do not have servers.
We do not have user accounts.
We do not track your usage or location.
We do not see, access, or upload your photos.

2. HOW WE PROCESS YOUR PHOTOS

When you select a photo for restoration, the App processes it using Artificial Intelligence running strictly on your device's local hardware (CPU/GPU/NPU).

The photo never leaves your device.
The restored version is saved locally to your device's storage only when you choose to export it.

3. APP PERMISSIONS

To function, the App requires specific permissions on your device. We use these purely for functionality:

Storage / Photos: Required to allow you to select the photo you want to fix and to save the result back to your gallery. We only access the specific photos you select.
Camera: Required to allow you to scan photos with your mobile camera.

4. PAYMENTS & THIRD PARTIES

The App offers a one-time purchase ("Derustify +") handled by the Google Play Store.

Transactions: All financial transactions are processed securely by Google. We never see or store your credit card information or billing address.
Receipts: We only receive an anonymous digital receipt from Google to confirm that the "+" features should be unlocked on your device.

5. CRASH REPORTING & DIAGNOSTICS

While we do not track your usage, the app ecosystem relies on standard diagnostic reporting:

Android Vitals: If the app crashes, the Google Play Store may automatically collect anonymous crash logs (such as your device model and OS version) to help us fix the bug.
This data contains no personal information and absolutely no images or user files. You can opt out of this diagnostic reporting at any time through your device's global Android Settings.

6. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

Derustify is designed for a general audience and does not intentionally target children under the age of 13. Furthermore, because our application operates entirely offline and does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data, we do not collect personal information from children or anyone else.

7. GDPR AND USER RIGHTS

We comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and similar global privacy frameworks through the strictest possible method: Data Minimization and Privacy by Design.

Because we do not have servers and do not collect any personal data, there is no data of yours for us to access, rectify, port, or erase.
All processing happens locally on your hardware. You maintain complete sovereignty over your images and your device data at all times.
